NEW MEMBER INFO
- The Twinsburg Fitness Center is a municipal facility. It is open to the community; rental of facility areas and equipment do take place. For a fee, anyone can use its space.
- To purchase a membership or daily usage pass, you must provide a current form of identification that includes your current home address regardless of membership type. If your Driver’s License address is NOT current, you will need to provide a current utility bill or other proof of residency.
- All passes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-cancellable.
- Family memberships are defined as two or more individuals and include: husband, wife or partner and immediate children 24 and under living within the same household. Grandchildren, nieces or nephews, cousins, etc. may not be included on the family membership without proof of legal custody. Those age 25 must be on their own membership regardless of residency or family status.
- Children 6 and under may be included on of his or her parent’s individual membership, if applicable.
- All memberships include free fitness classes (live and virtual) within the facility. The Wellbeats app is included for annual members. Fitness classes are subject to change on a monthly basis. A change or cancellation of a class does not result in membership refund.
- TFC reserves the right to verify and request proof of identity and to remove anyone not matching the eligible criteria without notice.
SPECIAL HOURS
- Closures (24/7 Access Available): New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Twins Days Saturday, Labor Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Day and Day After Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
- Holiday Hours, 8 AM – 5 PM: MLK Day, President’s Day, Juneteenth, Twins Days Friday, and Veteran’s Day.
- Special events occur throughout the year that will close portions of the facility. Please look for announcements regarding this. This would also include our annual maintenance of portions of the facility, members and patrons will be notified as soon as this information becomes available.
GUEST POLICY
- The cost is $10 for guests of active members. Drop in visits are $15. A multi-guest pass is available for $60 for 8 visits.
- Non-residents are unable to drop into the facility. Non-residents may be guests of members or may purchase a membership.
- Guests and members 12 years of age or under must be accompanied by a member 18 years of age or older. The member must remain onsite during the guests visit.
- Member must sign in each guest.
- Guests age 16 and older must present a valid, government-issued identification card. Identification card will be held at the front desk until the guest and member come to release it. Identification is required to enter.
- No more than 2 guest privileges are allowed per membership on any single visit, unless approved in advance by a member of Twinsburg Fitness Center management.
- Twinsburg Fitness Center front desk team members will track all patrons entering the facility, (i.e. picking up a child, looking for brother, watching swim lessons, etc.).
- Guest passes may be limited to non-peak usage at the facility’s discretion.
- A liability waiver must be signed upon each guest visit.
- Guests wanting to exit and return must repeat the above process in its entirety.
- All guests must comply with the posted gym rules. The member is responsible for the actions of their guests.
- No admittance after 7:00 PM.
VISITOR POLICY
- Members and guests ages 12 and under are not allowed to be in the facility without a parent or guardian unless involved in a supervised activity. The parent/guardian or member must remain on the premises with their underage child or guest. If dropped off at the facility, they will be asked to wait in the lobby until their parent or guardian returns.
- Facility users ages 13-15 may use the facility without the supervision of a parent or guardian until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. After 4:30 p.m., users 13-15 years old are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless in a supervised program or team sport event where the coach is present inside Twinsburg Fitness Center. If not accompanied by a parent or guardian after 4:30 p.m. and not involved in a supervised program or team sport within the facility, the individual will be asked to leave.
- The main entrance hallway is for Fitness Center and restaurant patrons entering or exiting the facility. Loitering is prohibited.
- The Twinsburg Fitness Center is intended to be used for recreation and fitness purposes. Anyone not using the facility as it is intended will be asked to leave the premises.
- No admittance after 7:00 PM.
BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL STUDENT POLICIES
- The Twinsburg Fitness Center Parking Lot is NOT a student drop off or pick up area. Parents can pick up their students at the Twinsburg High School Parking Lot.
- Anyone NOT entering the Fitness Center or eating at The Burg will be asked to leave the facility.
- The Burg Café is NOT a place for loitering. We will give patrons 30 minutes to purchase and eat their food, at which time they will be asked to leave, or make other arrangements for them based on weather, or other adverse conditions.
- The Twinsburg Fitness Center entrance and hallway is for paying Fitness Center Members, Guests, and The Burg patrons only. The Twinsburg Fitness Center is NOT a student dismissal or athletic practice, or contest entrance.
- The Twinsburg High School has established this as a Non-Athletic Contest Entrance. Spectators should enter through the High School Commons Area.
- Student Athletes, (Other than Wrestling, Swim Team and Soccer, who use the locker rooms and offices in this hallway) MUST wait for their coaches in the High School Commons Area. Following athletic practices, athletes are dismissed into the High School’s Commons Area, to wait for their rides.
REGULATIONS BY AMENITY
• Everyone attending the Twinsburg Fitness Center must register or check-in at the reception area.
• Everyone is encouraged to check the scheduled activities for drop-in availability before arrival.
• The Fitness Center is a tobacco- and alcohol-free facility. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted.
• Misuse of membership benefits may result in immediate suspension.
• Glass containers are not permitted within the Fitness Center.
• A parent or responsible adult (18 years or older) must accompany children ages 12 and under in each area.
• A child must be at least 13 years old to take a group fitness class with a parent.
• Please use the appropriate locker rooms to secure personal items. You must provide your own lock for the fieldhouse lockers. Digital locks are available in the pool locker rooms.
• Children ages 2 and up are expected to use the gender appropriate locker room, or they may use the family locker room with a responsible adult.
• Locks left on lockers will be cut off each night. The city is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
• Members are responsible for the behavior of their guests at the TFC. If a guest is removed, your membership or guest privileges will be in jeopardy.
• Gym bags are not permitted outside of locker rooms.
• Loitering or use of profanity in the facility or near the outside of the building will not be tolerated.
• Radios are prohibited. Personal music players will be permitted only if earphones are used and they do not disturb others or create unsafe conditions.
• Gum, tobacco, and spitting are not permitted in the building.
• Public displays of affection will not be permitted, nor tolerated.
• Eating and drinking are permitted only in designated areas.
• The Twinsburg School Board has decided that no student shall be able to use the Twinsburg Fitness Center or BURG Cafe during school hours except for authorized school activity.
• Cell phone use is not permitted in locker rooms.
• The walking / jogging track will have an established traffic direction each day. The inner 2 lanes are reserved for walking, with the outer 4 lanes for jogging.
• Proper, non-scuffing gym shoes are required. In bad weather, please carry in your clean, dry, soft-soled shoes.
• Keep personal belongings locked in the locker room. Gym bags are not permitted in gym or on the track.
• Appropriate attire is required. Swim suits, sandals, or flip-flops are not permitted.
• Blood is not permitted on person or clothing.
• Profanity and fighting will not be tolerated.
• Dunking / hanging on the basketball rims / nets is prohibited.
• Only registered members may check out equipment.
• Water is permitted. All other food and beverages are prohibited, including gum, candy, and tobacco.
• Volleyball nets, pickleball nets, batting cages, and portable hoops are available but must be reserved and arranged at least 24 hours in advance.
• All appropriate Health Department regulations will be enforced.
• Everyone must shower before entering the pool.
• Food, chewing gum, and drinks are not permitted on the pool deck.
• Swimmers will use pool locker rooms. Digital locks are provided.
• Water diapers are to be worn by anyone who is not toilet-trained.
• Only 1 person is allowed on the diving board at a time. Wait for the person in front of you to dive and reach the ladder or pool wall before approaching the board. Dive or jump only off the end of the board. No back dives.
• Swimsuits are required. No cutoffs or jean shorts are permitted. No T-shirts or thong style bathing suits are permitted.
• Pool closes 30 minutes before the building closes.
• Please plan to be out of the building by closing time.
• Children ages 6 and under should be closely supervised and within arms reach of an adult in the water.
• Wet persons are to remain in designated wet areas. Shirts, shoes, and shorts are required outside the pool and locker room areas.
• Balcony area is reserved for spectators of program participants.
• Diving blocks are for team use during organized practices and meets.
• Please report all accidents, incidents, and problems to the Pool Staff Office or the lifeguards.
• At least 1 lane will be available for adult lap swimming at all times. Circle swimming will be expected during times of heavy use.
• Use of cell phones is prohibited in locker rooms.
• The “Buddy System” (sharing equipment) of training is required.
• Spotters are strongly suggested when working with free weights.
• All machines and apparatus are to be wiped down before and after use.
• Appropriate attire is required (shorts, T-shirts, athletic shoes, etc.)
• Swimsuits, ripped or torn clothing, blue jeans or jean shorts, or any revealing attire are not permitted.
• Blood is not permitted on person or clothing.
• No one under the age of 14 is allowed in the Weight Room unless they’ve completed the Pro-Teen Program (open to ages 11-13).
• Drinking water is permitted. All other food and beverages are prohibited.
• Please use lockers to secure all belongings. Gym bags are not allowed in the Weight Room.
• No outside personal trainers are allowed in the Twinsburg Fitness Center.
• 30 minute limit during busy times for cardio equipment.
